I’ve got a Photography 101 workshop tomorrow night and there’s still space available! This workshop will cover the basics of your Digital SLR: aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, histograms,….. We’ll talk about all the basic features, what you want to do with them, and how to do it. My goal for the workshop is to get you to set the camera on “Manual” instead of “Auto” so that you are telling the camera what to do instead of the camera deciding for itself (because you ARE smarter than your camera!!) 🙂
I’ve also got a Photographing Your Baby workshop in May. This one is three Wednesday mornings in May (6, 13, and 20) from 9:30 to 11:30 am. You need basic knowledge of how to operate your digital SLR, and, well, a baby! (Maybe I should rename the class: BYOB Bring your Own Baby) You bring your baby (newborn to 12 months) to the class, and you’ll spend most of the class time actually photographing your baby with me by your side.
This summer, I am teaching all of the same workshops that I taught during the winter and spring. You can find a summary of the upcoming classes here.
Click here to go to the Carroll County Parks and Recreation website to register for any of the workshops. For the April and May workshops, click on “Specials” in the menu (left side of page), and for the summer classes, click “Arts & Crafts”
