Last fall I had a session with 4 sisters, and the youngest would not give up her hat! So we tried again to get some shots of this pretty little girl sans hat. :-) I think we got it!

I had two 1st birthday sessions this fall, and here is my second. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this little one from maternity to 12 months. You can see her previous sneak peeks here: maternity, newborn, and 6 months. Some babies change tremendously from newborn to 1 year, but you will definitely recognize this pretty girl in her newborn images.

She’s just learning to stand, with a little help from Dad.

This pretty little girl came to see me for her 1st birthday session, and she brought along her pink tutu and party hat!

I love this one. She seems to be saying, “Oh my goodness! A party for ME?!”

Her mommy bought one of the digital collections. Here are images of the CD case and the CD itself. The case comes in a black box with a satin lining.

I’m catching up on blogging some sessions from the fall. Here are some more sisters photographed at the same location as my last set. I posted one sneak peek from this session here.

This family has 4 sisters, including a pair of twins! I’ve worked with these girls four times over the last two years, and I love seeing how they change and grow. You can see another one of their sessions here.

The two-year-old is really into hats! She was not letting this one go during the session.

I got to visit one of my favorite little subjects last weekend for his 3rd birthday shoot! He loves to help his daddy in the yard, and he showed me all of the hard work he does: mowing, raking, and digging. This past spring, he got a little tractor just like his dad’s, and Mom says he spends many happy hours following Dad around as he mows.

Towards the end of the session, he started “chasing” me around with the tractor saying, “I’m going to get you Miss Melanie!” Since it only goes about 2 miles an hour, I’d jump out of the way at the last second (taking pictures all the while), and he’d come around for another pass.

He’s very fond of measuring things as well…a real pro with the steel tape!

Here’s a sneak peek from a recent session with a beautiful family in Annapolis. We had the grandparents, their two sons, and the sons’ families. Both of these babies and their parents have been on the blog in the past. It was great to get everyone together for a shoot!

I am currently booked for Fall 2009, and my first open sessions are in January 2010. I have a very limited number of slots per month, so I am generally booking several months in advance. It’s never too early to call if you want to book a session! Call now to book in the Winter or Spring 2010, particularly if you want a newborn session.

Another sweet little newborn came to visit me last week! He was 3 weeks old, but still very curly!

Because he was a little bit older, we had more awake time, and he could focus further away. I’m thrilled with this family shot! I hope Mom and Dad will be too.
