I had a session last week with a 1 year old girl and her mommy and daddy. How cute is she?? Look at those cute little teeth too!
She’s just starting to walk, so we got a few standing shots too. Here she’s standing next to a little rocking chair. What a sweet face.
This was one of our last shots, when she D-O-N-E done with us! She had done her modeling work for the day and was ready to go home. That little frown is just irresistable!
This little girl is actually the cousin of the newborn in my last sneak peek! She is also one of my First Year Collection babies, and this is her 6 month session. You can see her newborn sneak peek from last fall here.
This session was held at her house, and we did some pictures inside and some out. Here she is relaxing in her Adirondack chair in the back yard. Look at those two little teeth just starting to poke through!
Then with Mommy and Daddy on the front porch.
We tried on several different outfits, including her christening gown. (I gave this image a sepia tone, which I love to use on christening gown images because it lends a bit of an antique feeling.)
And then there was au naturelle! (don’t worry, there’s still a diaper on!)
And lastly here she is with Daddy again. I love the smile and eye contact in this one.

There were three unique things about this precious little guy. One was that he seemed to be in constant motion…even when apparently sound asleep! His mom confirmed that that was how he was in the womb as well. The second was that he was quite smiley, which you’ll see in this picture (and if you want to make a comment about newborns and smiling…keep it to yourself! We here at Melanie B believe they are real smiles! 
).
And, yes, that it his little foot up there next to his chin…which brings us to the third unique thing: he was breech, so he was quite curly, and perfectly comfortable in this pose! We actually had to work hard to get him uncurled enough to see his face some too. Here are some more shots from his session.
I just love the way he’s resting his cheek on his fist in this family shot!
My favorite way to do hand and feet pictures is with the parent’s hand in the shot as well because we get to see just how tiny those little toes really are.

Continuing my run of boys with this precious newborn. He slept soundly the whole session, so I got to try out a few new things…which I love! Here’s my favorite.
And nothing beats this classic pose, which I always try to capture (doesn’t he have the cutest little belly button?).
The tummy poses are always a little harder to get (some babies just don’t go for it), but so worth it when it works out!
This one was one of Daddy’s particular requests.

Lastly the whole gorgeous family together. I could have photographed them all day!

I was lucky enough to photograph both of these guys as newborns, and I so glad I got a chance to photograph the whole family this time. Check out this handsome guy…
